My Green Diet

½ cup parsley (great detoxter)
1 ripe pear
1 cup pineapple
½ peeled cucumber
1 slice lemon
1 Tbs. flaxseed
1 cup ice
Blend well in a vitamix… or another heavy blender.

I had heard of green papayas and green tomatoes but never green pineapple?! OK, I get it now. This was so delicious! I would have thought the parsley would overwhelm the fruit but not so. Never will the buns of fresh herbs liquify in my fridge again. . . this is a great way to eat parsley in quantity. I was impressed that you added pear peel and all . . do you also just include the lemon rind? It's not a lot, so I'm guessing yes, but I left it out this time, just to be sure (also, I wasn't sure how good my cuisinart was going to be – it did fine).
I am so glad the smoothies are working out for you. I hope you have a great time experimenting. I put in a small slice of the whole lemon- peel and all. I love the flavor and the rind has good oils and vitamins.
