Summer Berry Smoothie

July 26, 2011

My son really likes his green smoothies to be red, so I made this for him.

  • 1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 3/4 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
  • 1 ripe peach
  • 1 1/2 cups kale leaves
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 orange juice
  • 3/4 cup crushed ice
Blend it up very well.

Do you ever use soy milk in your smoothies?

  • http://www.mygreendiet.com/ Mary

No. For the most part I stick to fruit and greens. Sometime I will add almond milk or flaxseeds. I don’t use soy milk very much. If you like soy milk in your smoothie, go for it, but not everyday.  I think soy products (esp processed ones) should be eaten in moderation.
